Undoubtedly it is the biggest shocker of FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa, as the Netherlands defeated world # 1 ranked Brazil 2-1.
It looked like the Brazilians were going to have an easy time of it, as they scored only 10 minutes in on the rarest of plays in soccer-the breakaway, which made the score 1-0. But, the dutch are a plucky lot, as they equalised on a header that went in off the brazilian defender Melo. Then, in the 68th, Sneijder headed the winner in, which made the score 2-1.
But, the match was not over yet. In the 73rd, Melo stomped on a dutch player, and was sent off, which left Brazil playing the last 20 minutes(counting stoppage) with 10 men. Melo, when he gets back to Brazil, may want to have armed guards to protect himfrom the rath of his countrymen, coach Dunga, who will probably be fired, may want to do the same.
