CONCACAF Gold Cup coming to Detroit

The 2011 Concacaf Gold Cup soccer tournament will have two first-round games played at Ford Field in Detroit June 7th. This is the first major international tournament to visit the Motor City since the 1994 World Cup hosted first-round games at the silverdome. Further, this could be a major opportunity for Detroit to show MLS, that it has what it takes to have an MLS franchise in the near future. Details will be released in February.
