Klinsmann replaces Bradley as USMNT coach

For those of you who were under a rock, or were busy following our dysfunctional government fail to extend the debt ceiling, the USMNT fired coach Bob Bradley yesterday, after the embarrasing loss to Mexico in the final of the Gold Cup last month. Bradley is a solid coach, who did some good things during his tenure, which peaked with the first World Cup group championship in 80 years. That being said, there was definite feeling that the USMNT had gone as far as it could under Bradley, who despite his success, was much criticized for technical weakness.

As far as the USMNT's future goes, former German international Jurgen Klinsmann is considered the front-runner for the job. Klinsmann is a top coach, who could be the man to take this country to the proverbial next level, since his area of expertise is in the technical aspects of the game, that Bradley was considered weak in. Bradley's future? as I stated earlier, he is a solid coach, who I believe will follow the example of his predecessor Bruce Arena, and become a top candidate for any MLS coaching jobs that open up in the near future.

UPDATE: Klinsmann was hired this afternoon
