USA-Japan, Idiots Blow Clemens Case

USA-JAPAN

As you no dubt know by now, the USA will play Japan in the FIFA Women's World Cup Final Sunday afternoon (2PM EDT-ESPN). The amnerican women should be the favorites, given the fact that, with the exception of the loss to Sweden, they have more than lived up to their world #1 ranking, while Japan, due to upset wins over home-side Germany and Sweden, have been the cinderella story of the tournament. One more thing, Billy Witz of foxsports.com is suggesting that an american victory Sunday is the worst thing that could happen to US soccer. He's wrong. While an attractive style of football is wonderful, winning is what counts in the end, and, barring a HUGE upset, the USA will become the first nation to win three Women's World Cups, and, BTW, the next Women's World Cup will be in Canada in four years, so the americans will, especially if games are played in Toronto, or even more so Vancouver, which is only miles from the US border, practically be on home soil(think 2010 Winter Olympics, and the US success there), so they will be huge favorites again.

IDIOTS BLOW ROGER CLEMENS CASE

The Roger Clemens perjury trial suddenly ended almost before it began, as a mistrial was declared when prosecutors Steven Durham and Daniel Butler, not once, but TWICE, presented inadmissible hearsay evidence to THE JURY, AFTER THE JUDGE TOLD THEM NOT TO. IF I were the taxpayers who paid a fortune for this fiasco, I would be furious, and would demand Dunham and Butler's heads on the proverbial silver platter, and for that matter, not only did the judge do the right thing by declaring the mistrial, but he also should have held the prosecutors in contempt, for twice ignoring his orders.
