Game 2: Mad Max Is A Road Warrior

After game one last night, the Tigers were facing the biggest game of the season, and they had "Mad Max" Scherzer on the mound at Yankee Stadium, which is not what they would have preferred, since Scherzer has been much better at Comerica Park. Scherzer, however was more than up to the task, as he had a no-no bid going into the sixth. He left in the seventh with a two-hit shutout. The Yankees made it interesting with home runs in the eighth and ninth, but the Tigers evened the series coming home, winning 5-3. Justin Verlander will face C.C. Sabathia in game three at Comerica tomorrow night, with (presumably) Rick Porcello going in game four Tuesday night.
