Two guys with the the initials J.V.-Justin Verlander and Jose Valverde, put the Yankees on the brink with a 5-4 victory last night at Comerica Park.
Delmon Young-brother of 2006 Tiger Dimitri-hit the game-winning home run in the seventh, then the J.V.'s did the rest, as the Tigers took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 series. Game 4 is tonight at Comerica (8:30-TBS)
