Jiri Fischer All Over Again

Dallas forward Rich Peverley collapsed about seven minutes into their game with Columbus, and had to be rushed to the hospital. He was reported conscious. Pevreley had just returned to the lineup. He has a heart condition, similar to former Red Wing Jiri Fischer, whose career was ended by a similar heart condition in 2005.

Even if you didn't know him, you knew his songs

Pete Seeger died yesterday at age 94. You may not have heard his versions of his songs, but you have heard the covers of his songs, such as the Byrds classic versions of "The Bells Of Rhymney", and the immortal "Turn, Turn, Turn", which the lyrics were adapted from the Book Of Ecclesiastes.  He also wrote "Goodnight, Irene", which became a huge hit in 1950, for his folk group The Weavers, "Where Have All The Flowers Gone", and the all-time sing along song "If I Had A Hammer", which became a hit for both Peter, Paul and Mary, and Trini Lopez in the 1960's.

My Favorite Redisms

I have become a big fan of the NBC show "The Blacklist". Here are some of my favorite "Redisms":

"Shall we get started?"
"Anslo, what brings you here?"
and on tonight's show:
"Janice, I'll have to take a raincheck on the stroganoff, it smells delicious".
